Hugh Hefner 's so-called "better place" is waiting ... and it's right next to the woman who helped him launch Playboy. Hef bought the crypt to the left of Marilyn Monroe 's in L.A.'s Westwood Village Memorial Park. He dropped $ 75k on the burial spot way back in 1992 -- and once said, "Spending an eternity next to Marilyn is too sweet to pass up." Marilyn, the cover girl for Hef's first issue of Playboy, has been there since her death in 1962. Fun-ish fact : Marilyn's ex-husband,  Joe DiMaggio , used to own the crypt above hers -- but sold it when they got divorced in 1954.

Hugh Hefner  -- who founded Playboy and turned it into a globally iconic brand -- is dead at 91. Playboy says Hugh died peacefully at home Wednesday, surrounded by loved ones. Hefner's health had been in serious decline over the last year and he's not been seen in public for some time. His passing comes just over a year after his brother, Keith,  died battling cancer . Playboy magazine catapulted Hef into a cultural phenomenon ... paving way for the iconic Playboy Mansion that quickly became known for its legendary parties. As TMZ reported ... Hefner  parted ways with the pad  in August 2016 ... selling to Pabst Blue Ribbon heir  Daren Metropoulos  for $100 million. But the sale had one condition -- Hefner could live in the mansion without the new owner's meddling until Hefner died. Hefner married 3 times -- first to high school sweetheart Mildred Williams in 1949 ... then former Playmate of the Year Kimberly Conrad in 1989 ... and finally Crystal Hefn...

O ne of  Usher 's accusers has to keep her nose out of his bank accounts ... TMZ has learned. Laura Helm  wanted the courts in Georgia to block Usher from hiding assets to make sure she could collect if she wins her  $20 million lawsuit  -- but the judge shut her down. In docs, obtained by TMZ, the judge said Helm has no right to say a peep about Usher's finances because he doesn't owe her anything yet. Further, Helm failed to present any legal precedent for the judge to block Usher at this stage ... according to the docs. Young Thug 's list of legal problems piled up while he sat in a jail cell ... because he's now facing 2 more felonies on top of a weed possession charge. As we reported ... the rapper was arrested Saturday in Georgia by Brookhaven PD after he was pulled over for tinted windows. According to the police report, the cop searched Thug's Maybach because it smelled like marijuana ... and found drugs, 2 guns and almost $50k in cash. YT and 2 men with him in his car were arrested and taken to jail. Thug's now facing a felony charge for gun possession, a felony charge for drug possession -- for narcotics and liquid codeine found in his car -- and the  felony charge for weed . He's still got the  tinted windows  charge, too. Thug appeared in court Wednesday, posted bond and is now out of jail.

Tamar Braxton 's husband and business partner just took a huge hit to his bank account -- he's been ordered to pay Sony almost $4 million ... TMZ has learned. Music exec  Vince Herbert  has to cough up the dough after a judge sided with Sony in their legal battle over a 2013 advance. According to the suit ... Sony paid Herbert to find new talent, and part of the deal required payments back from Interscope Records. However, Sony sued Herbert, claiming he started intercepting the money from Interscope in October 2015 ... thereby screwing Sony out of recouping the advance.  Herbert failed to respond to the lawsuit, and the judge issued a default judgment. Now, including interest, Vince has to pay $3,738,515.93 to Sony. Interesting note -- we caught up with Tamar in Vegas over the weekend and she talked with us about retiring to focus on her marriage.

Rob Kardashian  got his ass beat by  Blac Chyna  while she was high on drugs and booze ... according to a new lawsuit he's filed against his baby mama. According to the docs, Rob says Chyna went on the rampage in December 2016 by first trying to choke him with an iPhone charging cable -- and then repeatedly struck him with blows to the head and face. He also claims she trashed the house, which he was renting from  Kylie Jenner . In the docs, Rob says she broke a door, damaged walls and a TV ... doing more than $100k of damage.
